1. Plain-language summary
Wallets, transactions, debts, goals, assets, and reports are stored inside the app on your device by default. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
You can use free features without an account. If you create one, only basic account data is sent to the authentication service; signing in does not upload your financial data.
2. Data the app processes
Thraa account data
When you sign in with email or Google, the authentication service stores your name, email, user ID, email-verification status, and sign-in provider. We use it to manage your account and link paid features when they become available; it is not used for advertising or marketing or sold.
Financial data
This includes wallets, transactions, budgets, goals, debts, installments, assets, settings, and reports you enter. It is stored locally on your device.
Receipts and invoice images
Attached images are kept on your device. You choose whether to include them in a backup and can remove images while retaining transaction data.
Settings and security data
App preferences are stored locally. Your PIN is not stored as plain text, but it is an app access lock—not full encryption of every file on the device.
3. Optional permissions and services
Bank transaction detection
If you grant Android notification access, the app checks new financial notifications locally to suggest a transaction. It does not read old SMS history, ignores OTPs and promotions, and does not retain the full notification text. Every suggestion needs your review and confirmation.
Recording and voice recognition
When you start recording, a temporary clip of up to three seconds is sent to a cloud speech service for transcription, then removed locally after processing where possible. No transaction is saved before your review.
Backup and Google Drive
You may create a local backup or, after signing in to Thraa, grant separate Drive permission to upload one to the app-private space in your Google account. Backup contents are not added to your Thraa account, and you choose whether images are included.
Device notifications, microphone, and photos
Permissions are requested only when you use the related function. The app includes internet permission for optional cloud features; you may deny or revoke other permissions in the app or system settings, though the dependent feature may stop working.
4. Your control and rights
- You can disable optional features and revoke their permissions.
- You can delete receipt images or reset app data from settings.
- Deleting the app or its system data may permanently remove local data unless you have a valid backup.
- You are responsible for protecting your device, Google account, and any backup files you create or share.
- You can delete your Thraa account inside the app. This removes sign-in data, but does not automatically delete local data or Drive backups or cancel a Google Play subscription.
5. Important notices and disclaimer
We work to keep Thraa accurate and protect your data, but you should understand these limits before relying on its results:
- Thraa is an organization and information tool, not a bank, payment wallet, or trading platform.
- Guidance, forecasts, charts, and categories are informational outputs based on entered data. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice and do not guarantee future results.
- Zakat calculations are estimates, not a religious ruling. Consult a trusted qualified authority when needed.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of entered data and for reviewing results, suggestions, and backups before making decisions.
- Some features depend on internet access, third-party services, device settings, and permissions. Continuous availability of any external service is not guaranteed.
- To the extent permitted by law, the app owner is not liable for indirect loss or a financial decision made solely in reliance on app results. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
